Responsibilities You will modify the scope and purpose of a fire protection training program to correct deficiencies identified during live firefighting operations. You will collaborate with fire fighter personnel to ensure emergency responses (e.g., fire suppression, injured victims, hazardous spill cleanup) are assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) performing command and control of emergency incidents; 2) Leading day to day operations for assigned shift providing guidance on firefighter related procedures; 3) Fighting structural, shipboard, and/or airfield fires using pre-fire planning methods and knowledge of layouts and design; 4) Operating firefighting emergency vehicles and equipment; 5) Providing hazardous material incident response; and, 6) Providing basic life support procedures as needed for each emergency call.
