Purpose and role of job:

Support training efforts through commitment to servicing the internal customer, teamwork, achieving results, understanding the business, by responding to change as opportunity, and continuous improvement.  Complete administrative duties and play a major role in supporting and maintaining the LMS (Learning Management System) all in continued encouragement of First Quality's learning organization.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
  • Under the supervision of the Learning & Development Manager design and develop training curriculum for a wide range of areas including performing needs analysis and creating training materials, student assessments, facilitator guides, learner guides, job aids, etc.
  • Act as the Learning and Development 'expert' for all day-to-day issues concerning Learning and Development products and services by providing technical expertise and operational support.
  • Plan, schedule, and organize training workshops.
  • Serve as the Learning Management System (LMS) and e-learning administrator.
  • Maintain and report on all Leaning & Development learner data and progress.
  • Keep abreast of training trends to ensure training programs incorporate best practices with an emphasis on skill application to engage employees and trainees.
  • Maintain paper and training records systems.
  • Works with Learning & Development Manager on projects and special assignments.
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.

Education and experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
  • A degree or relevant work experience in Human Resources, Education, or Business preferred.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory concepts and principles.
  • Experience with LMS/HRIS systems.
  • Prior experience with First Quality preferred.
  • Proficiency with current PC productivity technology/applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used in training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and train others.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
