Come join our team at Georgia Crown Distributing Co. as a professional, reliable Day Warehouse Cherry picker Operator. Georgia Crown is a full service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. The position is responsible for safely driving a forklift to load and unload trucks, move materials and all other associated tasks related to the day to day
The shift starts at 6am and ends with the assignment is complete.
Employee will be required to operate a forklift and oversee replenishing pick lines, putting away returns and putting away receipts from the receiving department.
Employee will be responsible for handling bottles and cases using RF scanner.
Repetitive, heavy lifting required for most of the shift.
Follow safety precautions when operating equipment.
Stay current with warehousing policies to contribute to a safe and appropriate work environment.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained
Work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
Cleaning up work area at the end of each shift
Employee will be required to take part in the inventory process on a monthly basis.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
6 months previous warehouse experience required.
High School diploma/GED equivalent.
1 year previous Forklift experience required.
1 year previous RF scanning experience required.
Heavy and repetitive lifting of 40lbs minimum required.
Attention to detail to ensure the safety of self and others.
Willingness to work with other team members to achieve company goals.
Report to work one Saturday a month to complete the inventory process.
Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…).
