Savan Group Capture Manager in McLean, Virginia
Savan Group is seeking a Capture Manager to lead a portfolio of large opportunities from identification to post-submission. This position requires a strategic mindset and proven ability to execute and juggle multiple opportunities. The ideal Capture Manager must possess excellent interpersonal skills to work across Project Managers, the Leadership Team, the Business Development and Growth team, current and potential clients, and external partner firms. The Capture Manager must be able to quickly make decisions on pursuit of an opportunity and be continuously seeking new opportunities for inclusion in the pipeline. Must attend industry days, conferences, and represent Savan Group in those client facing settings and engagements. Work closely with the Proposal Manager to determine proposal needs and resource requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform full lifecycle of business development activities including: Opportunity identification, qualification, capture, customer visits, customer relationship development, relationship development with competition, partnership, solutioning, etc.
Track progress on each opportunity and regularly report this to the Leadership Team.
Must manage and update the pipeline entries to accurately reflect the current picture of the opportunities.
Must complete NDA’s for signature by the Director of BD or the Contracts Manager when appropriate.
Must negotiate Teaming Agreements as a prime and as a sub with external firms, complete exhibit A’s and provide to Contracts for review completion.
Conduct regular capture checkpoints, solutioning and win theme sessions, and partnering discussions.
Maintain and execute client call plans and document progress.
Conduct account planning activities.
Bachelor's degree is required.
6+ years overall professional experience.
Background in Federal Civilian space.
Must be familiar with business intelligence tools for solicitations: Deltek GovWin, GovTribe; GSA eBuy, beta.sam.gov; FPDS.gov etc.
Knowledge of Federal GWACs and GSA schedules.
Ability to perform full lifecycle of business development activities including: opportunity identification, qualification, capture, customer visits, customer relationship development, relationship development with competition, partnership, solutioning, etc.
Must possess interpersonal skills to lead purpose-built teams for each capture opportunity. Must be able to effectively negotiate partnerships and maintain effective networking relationships with potential and existing clients, team members, and other staff.
Familiarity with Savan Group’s customer set or a subset is highly desired.
Experience with Capture2Proposal highly desired, but not required.
