The Pike Company Site Superintendent in Mebane, North Carolina

Pike is currently seeking an experienced on-site, Site Superintendent to join our growing team in Mebane, North Carolina. Our Site Superintendent will lead large-scale excavation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale excavation operations, including site preparation, digging, trenching, and grading. This role is crucial for ensuring the project is delivered with the highest level of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and oversee daily operations of large-scale excavation projects to include reviewing mobilization requirements and ensuring activities including job set up, temporary utilities, security, communication, permits, signage, job-posting requirements, and surveys are completed.

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of crews and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, as well as job-site coordinator are maintained by all trades personnel.

  • Completing daily written reports, RFI’s, change orders, weekly reports and submittals as well as communicating any changes or questions.

  • Works closely with the project team leadership to watch all costs under their responsibility and be able to explain any budget anomalies.

    Education/Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience working as a Site Superintendent with proven experience in excavation and underground utilities.

  • Worked on several projects successfully from start to finish; or equivalent service work, required.

    Knowledge:

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, required.

  • Familiar with construction projects, processes, methods, materials, tools and equipment, required.

  • Understanding of scheduling, design specifications, document and drawings, required.

  • Comprehension of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical roles, required..
