Description
We are in search of a reliable Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. In this role, you'll be tasked with managing a team that handles accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling cash and bank accounts, and maintaining a precise general ledger. You'll also create journal entries, monitor the business's cash flow, prepare tax returns, and process payroll among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage both accounts payable and receivable, including handling payments to vendors and collecting payments from customers
• Reconcile cash, bank accounts, and revenues to ensure that financial records accurately reflect transactions and balances
• Maintain an accurate general ledger and make adjustments as needed to keep track of financial transactions
• Create journal entries for all accounts, including fixed assets and other complex transactions
• Monitor the business’s cash flow to keep an eye on the organization’s liquidity
• Issue invoices to and collect payments from customers, managing billing and payment processes
• Prepare tax returns and monthly/quarterly financial statements to ensure compliance with tax regulations and provide financial reports
• Remit payroll, income, sales, and use taxes, handling various tax obligations
• Process employees’ timesheets and manage payroll, ensuring accurate payroll processing
• Supervise accounting staff, overseeing payroll clerks, billing clerks, or payables clerks
• Collect information for auditing purposes, preparing for audits and ensuring financial transparency.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Associates degree in Accounting preferred
• 5+ years of related accounting management experience
