Robert Half Plant Controller in Medina, Ohio

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller located in Medina, Ohio. This role involves maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP and providing guidance to the accounting team. The successful candidate will oversee the month-end close process and support various initiatives while acting as a business partner to the Operations Manager and other leadership team members.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies and procedures.

• Provide guidance and manage the accounting team.

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries and account reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.

• Support the U.S. Controller in various initiatives, key tasks, and deliverables.

• Act as a finance liaison for profitability, cost, pricing projects, and analysis, growth project analysis, and CapEx analysis.

• Challenge colleagues and team members as needed, challenge the status quo, and help keep the location focused on growth, improving profitability, and improving working capital.

• Support process improvement efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and location.

• Simplify financial information and results, and direct key team members to pertinent facts that can help drive improvement actions.

• Maintain financial data at the location.

• Review financial systems and processes, drive changes, and provide training to key individuals as necessary.

• Assist in the annual budget process and monthly forecast process.

• Oversee the annual Standard Cost roll process and any variances or deviations that occur throughout the year. Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services

• Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with various Accounting Functions

• Competency in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Skills in Capital Management

• Ability to handle Month End Close tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of industry laws and regulations related to accounting

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
