EHandS Coordinator

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, plus a minimum of 5 years direct industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred
  • Possess an understanding of various standards and regulatory guidelines such as OSHA, EPA, ACGIH, ASHRAE, ANSI, NFPA and other industry standards.
  • Analytical skills required e.g.,take data from varying sources, analyze, interpret, and use to make business decisions
  • Interpersonal skills, collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

The Role:

To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Description:Reporting to the VP of Operations will be responsible for driving a culture of Safety at Extant Aerospace.

The Ideal Candidate:

Will act as an Industrial hygienist by analyzing, identifying, and measuring workplace hazards or stresses that can cause sickness, impaired health, or significant discomfort in workers through chemical, physical, ergonomic, or biological exposures. Be responsible for all compliance related items.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performevaluations and make recommendations in the areas of industrial hygiene, safety, and environmental practices
  • Deliver training sessions and act as a workplace Safety leader to other employees
  • Coordinate assessments related to Indoor Air Quality, Water Quality, and Noise and Chemical exposure, either internally or through external channels
  • Develop protocols, cost projections, and tentative schedules for all EHandS activities
  • Conduct quality assurance tasks pertaining to environmental health and industrial hygiene investigations, studies and evaluations.
  • Maintain the OSHA log and all compliance related items and reporting
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the company.
