Job Overview:
As a Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing hardware components and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, electrical engineers, and product managers, to bring cutting-edge products to market. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with a strong background in hardware design, testing, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Hardware Design and Development:
• Design and develop hardware components, including PCBs, circuits, and systems, in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware with software and other components.
Prototyping and Testing:
• Create prototypes for hardware components and conduct thorough testing to validate design concepts.
• Identify and troubleshoot hardware-related issues, implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance.
Documentation:
• Maintain detailed documentation of hardware designs, testing procedures, and outcomes.
• Work with the documentation team to create user manuals and technical documentation for hardware products.
• Work with Configuration Management to ensure all designs are released.
Collaboration:
• Collaborate with software engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to product development.
• Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to improve overall product quality.
Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure that hardware designs comply with industry standards, Mil standards, safety regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
Must
• 10+ years experience
• Proven experience in hardware design, development, and testing.
• PCB Design
• Proficient in using design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, SPICE).
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
Plus
• Experience in designing with Microprocessors, FPGAs, and other embedded systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr.
