Catholic Health Services Patient Account Representative in Melville, New York

The Patient Account Representative will coordinate and bill outpatient charges from Skilled Nursing Facilities. Job Details Responsibilities: Making copies of demographic patient information and insurance cards; checking to make sure information is correct in computer. Verifying insurance coverage for Medicare Part A & B Billing, and other third parties. Billing Medicare Part A & B Billing on a UB04 claim form. Putting any additional information in computer obtained from patient for billing. Collect all co-payments for SNF stays. Verify EOB's and EFT's for accuracy. Manage Medicare A & B payer, including claims adjustments and all collection efforts. Update daily logs and spreadsheets for designated payers. Assist with other insurers and insurances when applicable. Salary Range USD $23.05 - USD $28.81 /Hr. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Strong computer skills required. Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Matrix, DDE. Must be flexible and able to work in stressful environment. Ability to multi-task. Prior related experience preferred. The pay for this position ranges from $23.05 - $28.81 per hour/per year. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
