This position is created to expand functional capacity to address implementation of new and complex cosmetic regulation beginning January 2021 particularly as it relates to formula and raw material changes and their impact on product registration.
This position is directly responsible for initiating product registration including assessing requirements, dossier build, dossier distribution, timelines and coordinating issue resolution with affiliates and cross functional partners across the enterprise. Responsibilities include supporting the ongoing maintenance and amendment of registrations, developing strategies to respond to the evolving chemical palette available to formulators arising from regulatory shifts, supplier and other changes that drive reformulation.
The incumbent will track evolving interpretation of new regulations to provide impact assessment and recommend strategies to ensure business continuity providing regular reports to senior management, focusing on immediate impact on product registrations, related requirements and overall long-term business impact.
The Senior Analyst will coordinate work with other specialists supporting brands and markets to minimize duplication of efforts and maximize utility of information, data and documentation for example to populate the PIF or Product Information File.
The employee will update and maintain of registration databases ensuring consistency, timely registrations, data integrity and reporting to management and stakeholders.
Provide appropriate support and follow-up with markets and cross functional partners to secure registration and achieve market launch of reformulated products to eliminate or minimize business disruption. Track and report progress to ensure end-to-end registration compliance and consistency. Provide regular follow-up with markets to ensure adequacy of data and assessments to achieve registration in accordance with market timelines.
Coordinate additional data information requests with R&D and Regulatory Compliance, obtaining information, data, assessments to support product registration. Build network and liaise with brand GBSC and Marketing to achieve corporate objectives.
Apply independent judgment and involve appropriate functions when reviewing technical information based on established regulatory, safety, and corporate practices. Maintain understanding of applicable and regulations as it relates to ingredients and finished product. Interface with affiliate, regional staff, trade associations and authorities (as required) in order to ensure that we have the most up-to-date regulatory information.

Fully proficient and experienced with Windows Office, Excel and Outlook and computer applications
Bachelor of Science or BS/BA Chemistry, biochemistry, advanced degree in chemistry desired
3-5 Years Experience
Less than 10% Travel
English – both written and verbal proficiency, other language(s) desirable
