KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Office 365 Security Administration. Ensure the security and compliance of the Office 365 environment within the organization. You will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures, monitoring for threats, and enforcing compliance policies to protect sensitive data and resources effectively.
  • Security Configuration and Management: Configure and manage security settings within the Office 365 environment, including Azure Active Directory (AAD), Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), and Office 365 Security & Compliance Center.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Administer user identities, roles, and access controls in Azure Active Directory, including conditional access policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access controls (RBAC).
  • Threat Protection: Configure and monitor security measures to protect against advanced threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and insider threats using Office 365 ATP and other security tools.
  • Remediate risks identified by internal and external penetration tests.
  • Implement CIS and CISA controls within the Office 365 environment.
  • Implement common security measures in on-premise Active Directory to include SMB Signing, LDAP Signing, disabling insecure protocols and ciphers.
  • Install and configure Windows servers and the Active Directory Domain Controller role. Install and configure Active Directory integrated DNS. Created domains and organizational units and delegate security access as needed. Create, test and deploy Group Policy Objects. Upgrade AD servers, domain functional levels and deploy schema updates. Implement and manage Active Directory Federation Services.
  • Implement appropriate security configuration for all systems deployed on the corporate network. Harden servers that will be accessible from external networks. Implement group and role based access security models. Utilize the Active Directory and Windows security models to properly secure file systems, applications and directories.
  • Install and configure Hypervisor(s) VMWare vSphere/ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix ZenServer, etc. Install and configure vCenter and other management console/applications. Configure hosts, clusters, datastores, and networking components. Create new operating system templates as required and update periodically. Monitor the performance and utilization across all hosts and guests. Create snapshots and clones as required. Perform physical to virtual server migrations. Create and configure new virtual servers.
  • Integrate new acquisitions and existing non-integrated entities into the Company network environment. Plan and implement coexistence. Establish Active Directory trust relationships, name resolution, and prerequisites for the migration. Install and configure migration tools as needed. Create and execute a non-disruptive migration project plan.
  • Troubleshoot server, application, client and network related problems. Perform root cause analysis to identify and fix problems. Work with 3rd party support teams to troubleshoot system issues. Work with internal application, network, telecom and support teams to troubleshoot issues impacting the Company network.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Microsoft technologies: Office 365 (all aspects) Azure, Active Directory.
  • Previous experience and in-depth knowledge implementing security settings and controls within Office 365 and Entra ID as well as on-premise Active Directory.
  • Internet: DNS/Email Routing/Domain Registrations/TCP/IP Ports.
  • Citrix/RDS/Terminal Services.
  • Windows Operating Systems (Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2022).
  • Disaster Recovery: Backup and Restore/Replication/SRM/Clones/Snapshots/SysPrep.
  • Microsoft, EMC, VMware and Cisco certifications highly desirable.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 6 to 8 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

The posted range for this position is $84,355 - $147,622 which is the expected base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for bonuses and incentives not reflected in the posted range.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
