SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
Assists in administering the Center's Health and Wellness Services Program.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees scheduling of sick call, infirmary coverage, and environmental health, physical and dental exams in accordance with DOL guidelines.
Inspects the food service facility and dormitories regularly.
Develops and maintains an inventory control system for medication, equipment and medical supplies.
Conducts inventories of supplies and medications monthly.
Purchases medication and medical supplies.
Participates in nurses' on-call rotation.
Functions as staff nurse as needed.
Collects data and maintains wellness monthly Utilization Report.
Plans, organizes and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to insure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: State Licensed Registered Nurse.
EXPERIENCE: Two year's RN experience and one year in a long-term care facility.
OTHER:
Must possess a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
