Since 1969, Lakeside has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and Mid-South region. The 365-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital in the United States. We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illnesses and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.
Job Description
The Psychologist provides timely consultations, patient evaluations, courtroom testimony and second opinions for safe patient discharge for the facility as needed for adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Education: Doctorate in Psychology.
Experience: Experience in inpatient mental health setting preferred. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records review and documentation.
Licensure/Certification: Tennessee Psychologist Licensed as a Health Services Provider
Knowledge: Knowledge of acute adult, adolescent, and child psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology; familiarly with follow-up resource services available to adults, adolescents, and children.
