Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
Plans, organizes, manages and is responsible for all document control and distribution processes and systems for the Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) Department, including all construction project-related documentation received from and sent to the contractor, architect, and internal staff from initial planning and early development of a project through its completion. Meets regularly with all the parties involved to stay abreast of and track the status of construction projects at all stages. Prepares meeting agendas as needed and records and distributes minutes summarizing matters discussed and actions approved. Scan, distribute, and file documents including (but not limited to) project designs, drawings, specifications, estimates, and correspondence to the appropriate archival repository. Verify and correct project-related documentation where needed. Ensures that document control and distribution systems, processes, and procedures are organized, accurate, clear, and complete. Maintains effective and ongoing communications with construction and contractor management teams. Provides initial review of pay applications, change orders, and other incoming construction documents. Performs other project engineering and project management-related duties as well as incidental duties as needed or assigned.

Essential Skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in construction, design, or construction management.
Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of CAD systems, CAFM, cost control, scheduling, and construction administration.
Understanding of healthcare delivery, architecture, building design, and construction processes.
Familiarity with OSHPD forms, applications, fees, permits, tests, and inspections.
Ability to read drawings and schematics.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment
Working in an offsite facility based in Menlo Park, associated with the main hospital. The department includes EH&S group, facilities, maintenance, and construction. The business unit, called Site Support Services, oversees all offsite clinics. The role is hybrid with an expectation of being onsite 3 days a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menlo Park, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
