Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Industrial Press Mechanic role is critical to ensuring that production runs smoothly. With a wide range of tools at your disposal, you will be responsible for upgrading, maintaining, and installing equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operations. This position involves manufacturing production parts, upgrading equipment modifications, and maintaining an accurate parts inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture production parts and upgrade equipment modifications.

  • Monitor and maintain proper parts inventory.

  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedule with proper documentation.

  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.

  • Cut and weld material to repair broken parts, fabricate/machine new parts, or assemble new equipment.

  • Document repairs and maintenance performed.

  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.

  • Read and interpret manufacturers' manuals to determine the correct installation or operation of machinery.

  • Follow all plant and OSHA procedures, performing all duties safely and in accordance with all work and safety rules, and established work and industry practices.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as a maintenance technician with a strong focus on mechanical aspects.

  • Proficiency in pneumatics (95%), troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience with machine tooling, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe installation, chiller plants, and waste systems.

  • Industrial maintenance experience in a high-speed plant production environment.

  • Ability to weld, braze, and cut with MIG, TIG, Stick, or Oxygen/Act Torch.

  • Experience using precision measuring equipment (scales, micrometers, and indicators).

  • Ability to troubleshoot pneumatics and hydraulics with the ability to read/understand schematics.

  • Previous experience with the installation of copper, black pipe, PVC, or groove lock piping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching, and occasional sitting.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Must not have a fear of heights or small spaces.

  • Availability to work assigned shift schedule.

Work Environment

The employee works in a production environment, often near moving mechanical parts and in high places. There is exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The role requires working on the 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm - 7am). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $85000.00/yr.
