seeking a GenAI/Automation Intern join our IT Architecture team for
Summer 2025, which is generally a May-August timeframe. This opportunity
will allow an intern to gain an understanding of Generative AI and
Automation within the health insurance industry.
This paid internship will be located onsite at our corporate
headquarters in Meridian, Idaho and may have some opportunity for hybrid
work. Estimated hours per week: 40 hours/week.
What we are looking for in an intern:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably a junior
or senior standing students
- Analytical - ability to report, analyze and, make observations about
processes
- Organization - ability to multi-task and manage time with multiple
priorities
- Inquisitiveness - not afraid to ask questions or attempt to figure
things out
- Communication - verbal and written skills suitable to a business
environment
- Independence - can work under moderate supervision; is
self-motivated
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
- Scripting proficiency in any language (Preferred: Python,
PowerShell, Typescript)
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project
requirements
- Business Process Improvement exposure
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially AWS
- GenAI, familiarity with training LLMs for specific use cases
- Data proficiency - Relational databases, SQL
What you will learn on this internship:
- Participate in business process improvement events
- Perform basic automation of simple processes
- Automate business process steps using either scripting or RPA
- Build robust reusable components or modules for automations
- Learn to use GenAI to solve business problems
