Assist in the supervision of youth in the Outdoor Adventure Camp. Assists Adventure Camp Director in the planning and implementation of outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, rafting, kayaking, and swimming. May assist with department community events and athletic events.\ \ \ Essential Duties & Responsibilities:\ Works directly with children each day during all scheduled outdoor adventure activities;\ Responsible for implementing daily activities that coordinate with the outdoor adventure program;\ Responsible for proper documentation pertaining to each child including sign in and out sheets;\ Responsible for all disciplinary actions taken at the program site within an assigned age group;\ Works as a team with other Outdoor Adventure Camp Counselor;\ Holds secondary responsibility for program management;\ Refers all parent complaints and concerns to the Recreation Camp Coordinator;\ Uphold all of the City ordinances, policies and procedures set forth by the City of Meridian;\ Ensures and promotes safety for children in varying environments of the program.\ Perform other related duties as assigned or needed.\ \
