providing non-medical, in-home services for over 25 years. Our mission
is to provide quality, in-home service that will allow persons to live
comfortably and independently in the familiarity of their own home.
About the Position
Direct Care Workers are general non-medical support services provided
for persons who want to remain in their home. Services are provided by
supervised Direct Care Worker (DCW) who receive specialized training.
In-home services assist the client in meeting the demands of living
comfortably and maintaining a personal residence. This position reports
to their assigned Staffing Coordinator/ Field Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: assistance with routine personal activates. This can
be helping a person dressing, bathing, and with eating.
- Personal Services: running errands and shopping; taking a client to
appointments.
- Home Maintenance: assistance with chores around the house, such as
cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
- Help a person to become more self-sufficient; teach and encourage
them to live most independent lifestyle.
- Documenting and reporting to your supervisor.
- Ability to travel to the assigned clients house.
- Follow all AUAF policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Completion of AHCCCS Training and Testing Program within first 90
days
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of background checks
- Fingerprint clearance card
- Three reference
AHCCCS training may not be required if the applicant:
- Passes AHCCCS standardized skills and written tests,
- Is a licensed RN, LPN, or CAN, or
- Is an Assisted Living Facility Caregiver with successful completion
of assisted living facility training program
Preferred
- Speaks a second language
- Previous experience with attendant care
- RN, LPN, CAN
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service
- Superior organization and time management
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 25lbs
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate phone, mobile phone, EVV device, and mobile apps
