Job Title: Associate, Production Control
Reports To: Supervisor , Production
Position Location: Metuchen, NJ
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling : Create and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization .
Inventory Management : Monitor raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventory levels. Place orders for supplies as needed to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet the established quality standards and specifications.
Production Coordination : Coordinate with production teams to ensure that production orders are executed efficiently, meeting production targets, and timelines.
Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including batch records, quality reports, and inventory logs.
Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency enhancements within the production control process.
Communication: Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and logistics , to facilitate smooth production operations.
Compliance : Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and company policies.
Mathematical and Numerical Skills: Proficiency in mathematical and numerical calculations for inventory management, demand forecasting, and data analysis.
This position does not have direct reports but may serve as a coach and mentor to other production employees.

Education:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, industrial engineering or equivalent internal work experienc e is recommended .
Experience:
Previous experience in production control, inventory management, or a similar role is required .
Proficiency using a computer and electronic databases, MS Office especially Excel, Outlook .
Proficiency in using production planning and inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize production processes.
Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Control exposures to hazardous chemicals and other safety hazards such as:
Carcinogens
Sharp and dangerous blades.
Biohazard exposure to specimens
Lifting of up to 50 lbs. occasionally .
Ability to climb ladders (up to 10ft) occasionally
Safety Toe s Shoes
