Google Business Intelligence Analyst in Mexico City, Mexico

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience delivering results with data visualization tools.

  • 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.

  • 4 years of experience in SQL and Data Visualization (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar technologies).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA in a related field.

  • Experience supporting data-driven sales operation and strategic cross-functional BI initiatives in a Cloud business.

  • Experience with translating business requirements to BI solutions.

  • Experience with explaining technical analysis to stakeholders.

The Google Cloud Central Business Intelligence (BI) team partners with the Sales and Consulting Strategy and Operations organizations to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, provide business-critical insights using analytics, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and help teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward.

As a BI Developer for the Google Cloud, you will be responsible for providing data and BI needs for both the Google Cloud Annual Sales Planning Process and In Year Operations critical to ensuring the business and business organization is able to operate in a nimble, frictionless manner.

In this role, you will be responsible for include, Account Mobility and Segmentation, Data Quality and Readiness, Organizational Design and Territory Planning, Alignment and Quota setting, and cascade methodologies. You will work directly with a broad range of stakeholders and partner organizations, spanning across Regional Sales Operations teams, Quota teams, Finance and Forecasting teams, and many more. A core area of responsibility will be gathering requirements, building data pipelines, and delivering BI solutions to support the Cloud GTM and Sales organization.

The Business Operations and Strategy team at Google plays a critical role in defining and driving strategic, operational and organizational improvements across the company. Also known as "BizOps", the group operates like an internal consulting group working on a range of critical projects and issues. BizOps creates strategies for promoting growth of our products like YouTube, Chrome and Mobile. They handle issues around partner development, strategy work in emerging markets such as Africa and India, as well as pricing strategies across our B2B and consumer products. The BizOps team is at the forefront of Google's fast-moving strategic priorities, addressing operational challenges and enabling innovation.

  • Consult with users or cross-functional decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards.

  • Drive business intelligence solutions and infrastructure design to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval. Partner with upstream data providers to find and establish new source data pipelines. Define local best practices, influence broader best practices.

  • Develop suites of reports, queries, and dashboards that access and consolidate information from a variety of data sources.

  • Design and implement full solutions that address specific, key use cases. Help these data products fit within larger programs or initiatives.

  • Provide ongoing support for cross-functional data users through maintenance of reports, queries, and dashboards. Size and plan for dependency changes (e.g., system migrations).
