Insight Global Level 2 Migration Technician in Miami, Florida

Job Description

A leading logistics company is seeking a Level 2 Migration Technician to join their expanding team for a pivotal project. Following the recent acquisition of two substantial organizations, the company needs to migrate over 1,200 devices, primarily Windows-based, into their current ecosystem with minimal business disruption. The Level 2 Migration Technician will play a crucial role in supporting these migration efforts, collaborating closely with the two existing engineers on the team. Responsibilities include utilizing an automated tool, Forensit, and directly engaging with end users to communicate migration processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise. This project is anticipated to last approximately six months. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fully remote environment, leveraging both their technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure a seamless transition for all involved, minimizing downtime for each end user.

Skills and Requirements

- 4-7+ years of relevant technical support experience in a level 2 capacity

- Strong experience working directly with end users, strong customer service skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to walk an end user step by step through a technical issue

- Some experience deploying software with an Endpoint Management Tool (Examples: Tanium, Ivanti, SSCM, Intune, Manage Engine, etc.)

- Strong experience working with Microsoft Office suite comfortable working with Outlook and Teams

- Strong understanding of basics of technical support and PC troubleshooting : Windows troubleshooting, Printing domain join issues, password reset, mapping shared drives, etc.

- Experience working in a remote enterprise environment self-starter, can work very well independently - Experience with Forensit (automated Tool)

- Experience deploying packages with Tanium

- Experience completing a similar domain migration project with windows null
