Job Summary Thisposition provides technical support to the Land & Field Services Division on a variety of tasks in protecting property rights and limiting the Company's liability in easements, rights-of-way, and new and existing capital infrastructure for company operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sending, receiving, processing, and file setup for applications and payments for consents to encroach, unauthorized uses, temporary access, easement grants, release of existing easements, licenses, and requests to verify company easement/land rights. Develops and prepares technical reports and documentation. Essential Functions Performsinitial review of applications for completion, along with surveys , sets up the project within company's project tracking database(s), creates project digital file and processes payments. Responsible for recording documents and archiving new work orders, surveys, releases, licenses, grants, field notes and as-built document within permanent storage. Interacts with other departments on land-related matters where practical and within the limits of knowledge and training. Performs administrative activities required to assist managers, supervisors, engineers, surveyors, and agents. Maintains department records regarding work assignments. This includes maintenance of computer database(s), work order tracking. Uses company records, GIS, FileNet, Google Earth, and other land title resources to abstract, research and review existing easements, permits, grants, maps, plats, and drawing. Education Description Requiresa high school education or the equivalent knowledge of English, punctuation, grammar, spelling and basic mathematics (ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate fractions and/or percentages). Experience Requiresa minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative, civil engineering, surveying, or land title level tasks. Additional Qualifications Ableto effectively communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers, customers, community members and/or contractors and vendors. Able to demonstrate courtesy, tact, diplomacy, good judgment, and professional conduct when communicating in person, by telephone or email. Able to set priorities, manage time effectively in order to perform the majority of work with minimal supervision. Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of real estate, surveying, and engineering terminology. Able to read and interpret all land rights documents related to easement,fee and other land rights for accuracy and completeness. Able to review and interpret maps, surveys, exhibits and engineering drawings for scope, impact, accuracy and completeness. Physical Requirements Ableto demonstrate the manual dexterity required to operate a personal computer. Able to operate and view computer terminal/screen; sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time. Able to exert 10 pounds of force frequently to move, lift, push or pull objects. Able to see.
