Dining Room Servery Supervisor

Description\
Oversees meal service including setup, serving, staffing, and cleanup
for each meal in servery areas and dish room. Responsible for proper
labeling of ingredients, including any potential allergens. Responsible
for the checker/cashier function, tender management and end of day
report reconciliation.\
\
This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring
range of \$20.57 - \$25.73 per hour.\
\
Core Responsibilities:\
- Responsible for ingredient listing for the menu and salad bar items,
including identifying & labeling indicated allergen information.\
- Must account of all cash and charge slips.\
- Organize Dining Room Attendants to ensure that the dining area is
properly stocked, staffed for each meal, and sees that mealtimes are
strictly adhered to.\
- Organize breakdown and cleanup following each meal and at the end of
each school break.\
- Must ensure Dining Room Attendants and Dish Room Staff are complying
with sanitation guidelines and proper dress code. Must be aware of
start and finish times of employees\
Ensure the building is locked, dining area is secured and supplies
are properly stored following each meal.\
- Responsible for the checker function to ensure that it is assigned
to the correct meal period and facilitate the flow of students into
the operation using the swipe program to capture an accurate count.
Responsibly manage other tender types with charge cards and
departmental charges at the end of each shift.\
- Performs other services in dining area as requested.

Requirements\
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.\
- Serve Safe certification required.\
- Certificate from the Vermont State DLC to serve alcohol helpful.
Will be asked to successfully complete these certifications upon
hiring.\
- Must have knowledge of food sanitation standards and be aware of
safety procedures.\
- Familiarity with slicing and serving equipment is also necessary.\
- Requires practice of proper health sanitation and good math skills,
i.e. ability to make change.\
- Must have computer experience to generate and adjust ingredients
signs for display on the line.\
- Must have 1-2 years of previous food service and/or supervisory
experience.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions\
Requires practice of proper health sanitation. Good math skills, i.e.
ability to make change. Competence with computer programs to perform the
checker tasks. Must physically be able to lift 10-20 lbs. numerous times
each day and up to 60 lbs. frequently, some items are lifted above waist
level. Requires frequent and repetitive bending, reaching, twisting and
turning. Requires frequent walking and long periods of time standing.\
