Job Title: Manufacturing Operator
Job Description
As a Manufacturing Operator, you will play a vital role in our team, contributing to significant work such as aiding in the discovery of cancer cures, environmental protection, and food safety. This position within our Microbiology Division allows you to work on impactful products in a manufacturing setting. You will assist in the production process of agars, ensuring product quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery.
Perform simple maintenance on machinery and report any malfunctions immediately.
Set up and adjust machines to run at different sizes.
Obtain necessary materials from the warehouse or staging area.
Organize production flow and ensure materials are available.
Estimate progress of the production line and schedule breaks accordingly.
Document and check personal work for quality and compliance.
Monitor products for defects.
Assist with the inventory process.
Complete production assignments promptly and in accordance with departmental schedules.
Essential Skills
Experience in production (preferred but not required).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good attitude and growth mindset.
Ability to understand and implement directions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in fast food, retail, or restaurant industry can be beneficial.

Work Environment
Our facility is large with two separate buildings, adhering to high cleanliness standards and regulations due to pharmaceutical manufacturing. Each production line has clear instructions for PPE and room rules. The site is well-organized and efficiently run. Supervisors focus on retention, training, and promoting employees who prove themselves.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Middletown, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $22.43/hr.
