Job Description

Role Objective:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for their area of responsibility, ensuring safe and reliable system operation through use of efficient processes and best practices.

Job Tasks:

  • Promotes and ensures full compliance with Company safety programs.

  • Ensures conformity with Company standards, procedures, practices, and policies.

  • Works with Scheduling, Pipeline Control, and other support groups to provide a superior level of service to each of our customers.

  • Supervises and monitors area staff to include work scheduling and documented development.

  • Supervises and monitors area staff to ensure each employee is competent to perform assigned job duties.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of environmental regulations and Company policies concerning the handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

  • Recommends capital improvements and replacements, and asset retirements.

  • Manages the daily and periodic administrative tasks incidental to area operations and maintenance such as the preparation or verification of operating and maintenance reports, accounting records, receipt and delivery tickets, and other documents required by the Company or government entity.

  • Participates in periodic internal and outside agency audits to ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes, regulations and requirements.

Essential Role Functions:

  • Creates and maintains collaborative relationships both within the workgroup and with area customers.

  • Champion of an adaptive culture, that can quickly respond to ever changing circumstances.

  • Manages area spending to stay within approved budgets and assists in the preparation of annual budgets.

  • Consistently assess workforce and equipment for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Create and execute action plans accordingly.

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes, regulations and requirements.

  • Evaluates the performance of each direct report and provides active feedback to maximize developmental progress.

  • Inspects area facilities on a routine basis to ensure proper maintenance and fitness for service.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Min of 2 yrs operating experience

  • Knowledge of MS Word & Excel

  • Live or be willing to relocate to within 35 miles of reporting location

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience.

  • Desire prior measurement experience and knowledge

  • Experience managing projects

  • Ability to read and understand system maps, fluid flow, piping design, distributed control systems (DCS), SCADA design and process control basics
