We are seeking a skilled and experienced proofreader who will enable and support our digital evolution. This role provides proofreading support for our Product Delivery team in the creation of internal customer facing documentation and training materials for CHG Healthcare’s technology initiatives.
Proofreads and edits technical documentation for internal users
Finalizes engaging and easy-to-understand content such as user guides, knowledge base articles, how-tos, step-by-step collateral, FAQs, and UI text in collaboration with SMEs
Update existing content to support frequent product changes in a timely manner
Develop and maintain documentation templates and style guides
Ensure documentation and training materials are useful, accurate, and comply with established procedures, standards, and style guides
Stay up to date and educate others on changing best practices for technical documentation, training materials, and publishing
Exceptional writing/editing and grammar skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent time management skills who can work independently on multiple projects
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to complete tasks while meeting tight deadlines
Exhibits problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Committed to positively contributing to a team culture and is consistently able to collaborate
Seeks out opportunities to improve processes and productivity
Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive way
Comprehension of technical information
Experience in technology with ability to translate technical or complex concepts into concise and digestible content
Education & Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Communications, English, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience in proofreading
Preferred:
Experience as a technical writer
