I. Major Responsibilities: 1. Distributes and monitors the flow of work
for an assigned group of employees. 2. Provides training and technical
assistance to employees within the assigned work area. 3. Assists
manager in assuring that assigned employees are provided with
appropriate resources, materials, and methods. 4. Provides
recommendations to manager for the most efficient utilization of
assigned personnel. 5. Provides input to manager on assigned staff for
annual performance evaluations. II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. High School Diploma or
equivalent. 2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS)
certification from the American Heart Association. If not available upon
hire, a BLS/HS must be obtained within 3 months from date of hire.?If
certification is not obtained within 3 months of hire, the employee may
be terminated or employee may apply for another position for which they
meet the minimum qualifications.? Medical Assistant credential, approved
by the Massachusetts Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.). 3. Must
obtain Yellow Belt certification within 1 year from date of
hire/transfer. Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Previous experience
working in a medical physician office or ambulatory care clinic setting
in a hospital. 2. Medical terminology and computer skills. 3. Must be
able to read, write, and communicate in English in a clear and concise
manner. 4. Strong interpersonal relationship building skills to gather
information from individuals that create a collaborative work
environment. 5. Problem-solving abilities for routine situations and
comfort requesting assistance from identified resources when needed. 6.
Must be able to remain calm when under stress or in emergency
situations. 7. Demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to patients?
needs by acting as a source of information and approaches all
interactions with the intention of building positive rapport and
relationships. Preferred: 1. 3 years of medical assistant experience in
a medical physician office or ambulatory clinic setting. Unless
certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent
combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in
the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be
