Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Utilize a voice activated Vo Collect headset system to determine item locations and proper quantities of items to be selected.
  • Drive powered industrial equipment such as an electric pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner to item locations that are relayed via the headset. Training and certification through Weis Markets will be provided.
  • Complete pre operation inspection and all associated documentation prior to operating equipment and submit completed documentation to maintenance.
  • Place and organize products on pallets in a stable and efficient manner to minimize damages prior to and during shipment.
  • Visually inspect products for damage or improper packaging and secure products with shrink wrap for safe delivery to retail locations.
  • Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, efficient, clean, and effective work environment while complying will all Weis Markets, federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) regulations, and laws.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Working towards completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
