Siemens Industry – Machine Tool Systems is searching for an Account Manager for our Northern Mid-West territory. Target customers are CNC machine builders with manufacturing sites in the United States. The candidate will be a located close to a major airport with good access to the territory.
Siemens has fully adopted to the new way of working. This position will provide a great balance of working remotely and virtually as well as local travel by car and cross-regional travel by plane. Travel is estimated at 30%-50%.
If applying from outside of the Northern Mid-West geographical area the candidate must be willing to relocate to achieve proximity to assigned accounts and territory.
This is a key role within the Machine Tool Systems segment for our continued success. The candidate will be responsible for managing accounts by implementing the corporate strategy selling automation hardware and increasingly software to an existing customer base and to develop new accounts.

Extending our high-performance Account Management team we are looking for a driven, highly motivated, successful, future focused individual with diverse background in Manufacturing, CNC machine tools, Automation, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, Fabrication, Digitalization, Industry 4.0 etc.
This position has great exposure to our executive management and thus provides excellent opportunities for talents with career aspirations within Siemens domestically and globally.
Take over a multi-million-dollar territory with existing high-profile accounts and an expectation to expand the business by increasing Siemens’ share of wallet and developing new accounts
Develop / expand / cultivate long-term relationships with key contacts within the customer organization
As part of an assigned account team take responsibility to develop and execute strategic account plans to ensure achievement of set business goals in alignment with Siemens business strategy
Direct sales responsibility of Siemens hardware and software portfolio to domestic CNC Machine Tool Builders
Work closely with marketing to create and distribute customer success stories increasing recognition of Siemens Machine Tool Systems in the US
Drive the success of your assigned account team consisting of a Inside Sales Representative and Application engineer.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:
8+ years total work experience.
5+ years of successful sales experience in Industrial Manufacturing, preferably in the Machine Tool business - ideally – with a solid understanding of CNC machines
Great communication-, stakeholder and relationship management skills
Working in a matrix team environment
Entrepreneurial thinking and follow through in developing new opportunities
High level of self-driven decision making abilities guided by set business targets
Technical degree or equivalent experience
Core automation and drives experience
Complex system selling / value selling
Excellent communication & presentation Skills across all levels of a customer organization

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:
Knowledge in growth industries and technologies (Manufacturing Software, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, Electronics, etc.)
Strong network in US machine building industry
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering preferred
Individual must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing
Individual must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
