In the role ofan Accounts Payable Purchasing Assistant you will beworking in our Finance and Administration Department. Purpose Review, process and place routine requisitions/orders ensuring compliance with all College policies and procedures and all external requirements. Assist and service departmental staff with regard to questions on routine requisitions, orders and ERP needs, and make adjustments to orders as requested and necessary. Request W-9\'s and supplier information from new suppliers. Provide general supportive functions to AP/Purchasing department such as maintaining information on departmental equipment maintenance contracts, placing service calls and other duties as assigned. Actively seek solutions and improvements in an effort to streamline processes. Recommend and participate in professional development activities. These activities include both departmental cross-training as well as classroom learning (on-line, institutional and outside). Back-up Associate Buyer during absences. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Solid working knowledge of Microsoft products - Word, Excel and Outlook. Good organizational skills. Solid detail ability and organizational skills. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
