clinical and professional educational to foster growth of highly skilled
nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PA) in
multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of
complex patients through clinical and didactic experiences and
professional mentorship. PROGRAM PURPOSE The Medical College
Physician\'s APP Hematology and Oncology Fellowship is a one-year
training program that teaches an APP fellow to become highly skilled in
the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of
complex and challenging cancer patients in inpatient units and
outpatient clinics in hematology and oncology. It provides specialty
health care services within defined scope of practice in collaboration
with a licensed physician and in accordance with MCW/FMLH policies and
procedures. An innovative 12-month curriculum composed of in-person
didactics, online classrooms, proctored procedures, and mentored
clinical rotations. Fellows will have rotations in the inpatient units
and outpatient clinics of the Division of Hematology and Oncology, and
in related areas, in the Froedtert Hospital Cancer Network. FELLOWSHIP
EXPECTATIONS Advanced Assessment: Elicits, selects, and integrates
information in the care of patients with acute, critical, and/or complex
chronic illnesses using physiologic technologic and pharmacologic
inputs. Differential Diagnosis: Makes and prioritizes real and potential
conditions based on available data and the complexity and severity of
patient condition. Outcomes Identification: Formulates goals and
outcomes using scientific evidence that are consistent with the
