Officer - Sheriff Full-time, Hourly Hourly Range: \$30.60 - \$34.37 Job
Summary: The Correctional Officers with MCSO will facilitate booking,
identification, release, classification and monitoring of occupants at
Milwaukee County Jail, a maximum-security facility. They will perform
this process properly, maintain a safe and secure facility. Assist law
enforcement, courts, attorneys & prisons. This job exists to ensure
occupant rights from the time of booking until release and to ensure
safety and security of the occupants, the staff and the community.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Process occupants through booking,
identification, classifying, housing and release. Review arrest
information, determine the validity of the arrest documents. Assist
intake court in processing the case files and occupant court
appearances. Collect DNA samples when required. Monitor, supervise,
ensure safety and security of occupants while using professional
communication skills and specialized training. Ensure the facility
