A/E/C firm, is seeking a dynamic and organized Electrical Estimator to
join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for
overseeing project estimation, budgeting, and subcontracting for a wide
variety of projects that include, but are not limited to renewable
energy, wastewater treatment, and a variety of industrial process and
utility projects in the food & beverage market. Your ability to manage
multiple tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and proactively
expedite the estimating and subcontracting process will be crucial. Job
Duties: Complete tasks on time. Review design documents and understand
scope of work to estimate. This will occur throughout the project from
Preliminary Design documents to Issued for Bid (\90% design) documents.
Network with subcontractors at each project location to develop
relationships to increase the probability they will submit a proposal
for their scope of work. Maintain a professional relationship with
subcontractors by responding to and coordinating RFIs during the bidding
process. Track estimates / bids for status. Assist in determining cost
impacts of project-specific requirements as design is increased or
client requests dictate. Document and communicate with design and
construction teams any areas that may cause issues in the bidding and
construction phases. Review contractor proposals for completeness and
request any clarifications or additions necessary to get a complete
price. Conduct scope review with contractors, the design team and
construction team when required. Coordinate with other company
departments and attend required meetings. Utilize Excel to compile all
cost information for each project and present to the leadership team for
approval. Develop the estimate breakdown to be submitted to the project
team. Participate in the culture of continuous improvement of the
estimating and subcontracting procedures. Flexibility to adjust
priorities to fit the needs of the company. Requirements: Associate
degree (or higher) in construction management or a related field and
eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR, if no degree, at least ten
(10) years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal
candidate will have field experience in construction, in a commercial or
industrial capacity, including running conduit, pulling wire, and other
installation work. Understanding projects, including the process and how
they work from start to finish, is preferred. Prior experience in
project management is helpful, but not required. Computer skills,
especially with Excel and Word. MS Teams, MS Outlook, Bluebeam, and
