JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job description Department: Shipping, Receiving, &
Warehouse Reports to: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor The Tech Service
Forklift Operator is a full time hourly position responsible for
shipping & receiving duties, carton production, & material handling
operations that support the Printing, Converting, Maintenance, and
Office Functions. Essential functions and job fundamentals: Load and
unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner. Stage, store, and
organize raw and WIP materials for the Printing and Converting
Departments. Process small parcel shipments, incoming and outgoing.
Deliver as appropriate. Prepare Bills of Lading & call in LTL pickups.
Receive product into the computer system. Process finished goods. Error
free data entry. Maintain accurate inventory balances on the computer
system. Retrieve finished products from production. Validate product
labeling against production totals for accuracy. Assist with cycle
counts. Erect recycling bins, compress filled units, weigh, and load for
shipment. Wrap pallet loads for secure storage and transport. Keep
warehouse, dock, and workstation clean and tidy. Run carton machine to
support production and inventory needs. Manage work flow of materials
throughout production processes. Must meet attendance requirements.
Attendance is critical to this position. Requirements/Prerequisites:
Normal physical demands require the ability to lift 75 lbs regularly
unassisted and 150 lbs assisted. Follow all plant safety rules and wear
PPE as directed. Support food safety, quality, and environmental
programs; comply with requirements, and report any food safety issues to
personnel with authority to initiate action. High School Diploma or
equivalent. Ability to achieve and maintain forklift certification.
Computer Literate. 1 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment,
preferably in a Shipping and Receiving / Material Handling capacity.
