You will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite applications and the associated Oracle databases. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance, security, and availability of the applications and databases to meet business requirements. This is a remote opportunity for the right candidate, but you must be a US citizen and live in the US. How you will do it Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite applications and Oracle Database environments. Set up and manage application servers, database instances, and related components. Monitor and tune Oracle databases for optimal performance, including the application of best practices for database configuration and maintenance. Manage database storage, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for high availability and replication. Analyze and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code to improve application performance. Use Oracle performance tuning tools to monitor and enhance database efficiency. Define and implement database security policies, including user roles, permissions, and access controls. Conduct regular security audits and implement security patches for both the database and applications. Plan and execute upgrades and patches for Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Database, including testing and validation of new versions. Coordinate application downtime with stakeholders to minimize business impact during upgrades. Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to application users and troubleshoot issues related to Oracle Applications and databases. Collaborate with application developers to resolve database-related development issues. Maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, configurations, processes, and procedures. Create regular reports on database performance, security incidents, and system health. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including application developers, network administrators, and IT support, to ensure smooth application and database operations.
