Position Title: Manager, Grants Accounting
Department: Operations - Finance
Location: Remote
Job type: Full-time, Direct Hire
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manager, Grants Accounting to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting all grant funding, managing grant accounting, maintaining financial reporting and ensuring compliance with all legal and internal regulations. Your work will facilitate our overall mission, as you ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial inputs that are crucial to our services.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of grant spending to ensure complete and appropriate utilization of funds.
Analyze performance of individual grants and provide guidance on areas of concern to maximize efficiency.
Communicate with other accounting teams regarding required changes to grant coding.
Contribute to budget planning, maintenance, and forecasting activities.
Oversee invoicing, implementation of new programs, and grant development.
Ensure compliance with all financial reporting regulations including GAAP, FASB, and OMB.
Manage and mentor a team of Grants Accountants.
Collaborate with fellow accounting staff on cost allocations and revenue reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
Minimum of five years relevant experience in grant, non-profit, or fund accounting.
Familiarity with legislation and regulations for financial reporting, including GAAP, FASB, and OMB.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with database and accounting computer application systems.
Prior experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, organizational, and leadership skills.
Comfortable within a fast-paced, evolving environment and able to manage multiple projects.

Heavy grant accounting experience
Supervisory experience, this will manage 3 people
