An Assistant Professor on the tenure track is sought within the Division of Epidemiology and Clinical Research in the Department of Pediatrics. This position requires an individual with training in quantitative or population genetics, and research experience in the genomics of human gestation, lactation, or childhood. The ideal candidate will have developed a research portfolio centered on quantitative or population genetics of human gestation, lactation, or childhood. As a faculty member, the candidate will be expected to continue this line of research as well as to apply findings to studies of childhood development and disease (including childhood cancer) through collaborations with colleagues in the Division, Department of Pediatrics, and the University. Job responsibilities will include both research and educational activities, consisting mainly of training postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. Qualifications Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Genetics, Population Genetics, Quantitative Genetics, Statistical Genetics or similar fields with documented experience in conducting and analyzing field studies of childhood health; additionally, candidates must have knowledge of and a track record of publication commensurate with career state. Highly desirable characteristics include evidence of potential for obtaining independent external research funding and evidence of effective collaboration.
