Sun Country Airlines is seeking an SOC Manager to assist the Sr. Director of SOC with general leadership of the SOC and specifically the SOC Duty Managers. The Manager of SOC will ensure maximum safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of daily flight operations while making certain of adherence to company procedures, policies, Federal Aviation Regulations and company objectives. Essential roles and responsibilities of an SOC Manager: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provide daily tactical operational oversight of the SOC Duty Managers necessary to achieve safety, customer satisfaction, and company determined key performance indicators within the daily operations including IROPS. Proactively create, communicate, and execute operational plans aimed at preventing disruption within the daily flight schedule. Serve as the operations software super user within the SOC. Monitor short term schedule to verify aircraft routing and schedule efficiency. Responsible for routing future schedules in preparation for Crew Planning monthly schedule build up. Collaborates with the Manager of SOC Standards to maintain policies and procedures within the Systems Operations Control Manual. Assist the Senior Director of SOC with Duty Manger recruiting, hiring, training, and career development. Responsible for developing and managing the SOC Duty Manager's shift schedule. Collaborates with the Manager of SOC Standards to maintain and deliver SOC Duty Manager training curriculum, both initial and recurrent. Facilitate daily operations and IROP calls as needed. Assists the Senior Director of SOC with investigating and reconciling delay code disputes. Ensure that the daily airline operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, compliant with all applicable FARs, contractual obligations, and company policies and procedures. Serve as the back up to the Senior Director of SOC in their absence and shares operational on call duties with the Senior Director of SOC. Any other duties assigned by management. The qualifications we are looking for in an SOC Manager include: 5+ years of experience in related airline operations, specifically with an SOC or Dispatch environment 2+ years of management/supervisor experience with increasing leadership responsibilities Complete understanding of the Aviation Safety Standards and Safe Operating Practices, 14 CFR Chapter 1 (Federal A iation Regulations), and the certificate holder's operations specifications Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in Microsoft Office products Ability to think and act fast, deal with ambiguity and be able to develop ideas with exceptional problem-solving capabilities Works effectively under stressful situations with minimal supervision Ability to maintain a sense of calmness and professionalism during high stress conditions Highly organized and motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate and drive results within all areas of the SOC, builds partnerships and ensures shared success Ability to effectively work in a team environment ensuring that all are functioning as one with communication and lines of authority maintained PREFERRED SKILLS Bachelor's degree in related field Sun County Airlines respects and values every employee's contribution to our business.
