Job Summary
This position supports Canteen (Canteen, Canteen One, and Franchise), focusing on directing and overseeing efforts to document, communicate and train users regarding Master Data Management and key back-office systems (ERP, CRM, etc.), as well as process requests. This position also works with Canteen branches to facilitate project-related data cleanup tasks for Master Data. The role fosters relationships and a sense of security and trust in the Master Data for the Enterprise, as the data stewardship program builds a more data-focused culture and advocates for the proper use of and attention to data.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create communications regarding enhancements to Master Data software tools and changes to processes.
Communicate enhancements to STEP directly to users and leaders.
Create training materials and Quick Guides for users of STEP.
Communicate and train Canteen branch and follow up on data cleanup projects.
Contribute to ongoing initiatives to define, cleanse, and integrate master data sets across the Canteen and Compass organization, including customer, product, vendor, equipment-types, etc.
Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
Ensure quality of master data in key systems.
Develop and document processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
In collaboration with subject matter experts and data stewards, define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Without a bachelor’s degree, three years of business experience in project management/communications. With a bachelor’s degree, two years of project management/communications is required.
Communicate/train on process changes.
Experience with master data elements and hierarchies relevant to a retail client including customer, vendor, equipment, product, etc. is required.
Experience with front of house and back of house management systems and the data produced including sales, accounting, finance, warehouse, asset, fulfillment, etc. is required.
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in MS Excel.
Talent for turning data into information.
Master Data Management solutions (i.e., Informatics, Stibo, etc.) experience.
Formal training or certification in project management or process documentation, and Data Analysis preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of Systems Experience preferred.
Experience in Stibo/STEP and/or SAP/HANA preferred.
