Description
Payroll Processing:
Process employee payroll, ensuring accuracy for different compensation types.
Timely payment of wages, deductions, and benefits.
Review and verify timekeeping records pre-payroll.
Compliance and Reporting:
Stay current with payroll laws and regulations for compliance.
Prepare and submit payroll reports to stakeholders.
Accurately manage payroll taxes and reporting.
Maintain internal controls as per company policies.
Customer Service:
Address and manage payroll-related inquiries.
Train and support employees on payroll systems.
Collaborate with HR for data integrity.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
Maintain up-to-date payroll records.
Safeguard confidential information.
Follow company policy for document keeping and account reconciliation.
System Management:
- Troubleshoot systemic issues impacting payroll.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and recommend enhancements to payroll procedures.
Develop ad-hoc reports as needed.
Stay updated with payroll-related rates and legal changes.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Other Duties:
• Experience with weekly, bi-weekly payroll
• Experience with union and non union payroll
• Detail oriented Payroll certification is preferred
• Experience with Full Cycle, multi-state payroll and payroll taxes
• Ability to handle Certified Payroll
• CPP or FPC preferred
