UMPhysicians Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Pediatric Infectious Disea in Minneapolis, Minnesota

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join the Pediatric Infectious Diseases clinical practice in Minneapolis, MN. The provides expert clinical care for immunocompetent and immunocompromised children with a broad range of infectious diseases. Faculty in the not only treat children - they also advance the health of children worldwide by leading groundbreaking research into the pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases. The division has a long-standing, highly collaborative relationship with the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Internal Medicine and with the Minnesota Department of Health. Practice Details: Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with infectious diseases. Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose infectious diseases, and develop individualized treatment plans. Have both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at the M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital and M Health Fairview Pediatric Specialty Clinics. Educate patients and families about infectious diseases, prevention strategies, and treatment options. Support of RN clinic coordinator and antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist. Opportunity to work with postdoctoral fellows in accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship training program, residents, and students. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers to optimize patient care outcomes. Spend the first few months observing with providers in our division to learn Pediatric Infectious Disease medicine. We will develop an educational plan for you. Schedule: Daytime schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am-4:30pm No call responsibilities currently Full time: 1.0 FTE We're Looking For a PA or PNP Who Is: A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Pediatric Nurse Practitioner training program. Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC, PNCB or AANP. Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (PNP's). Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
