As a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, you will drive award-winning, industry-leading work not through scopes/schedules/budgets, but through understanding the fundamentals of how our agency functions. Your real-time calculation of risk vs. reward won’t be done by gut feel; it will be driven by data. You will have visibility to the information necessary to ensure that each discussion you have, whether internal or client-facing, is targeted at balancing the best interests of our clients, our business and our people. Your experience as a problem-solver is rooted in understanding technology, and curiosity pushes you to drive progress by elevating beyond ‘checking the boxes’. Candidates must be located within the Minneapolis / Twin Cities area.

How You Add Value

  • Manage multiple projects across one or more clients with oversight for tactical projects you may own, or in partnership with a business partner for more complex and/or ongoing client relationships

  • Apply proactive thinking and actions to drive quality work and maintain a positive team environment

  • Isolate issues to their root cause and resolve, or escalate when one or more potential resolutions are identified or support is needed

  • Proactively manage up to peers and managers within your department so they can better support any challenges or roadblocks you may encounter to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunity

  • Contribute to client-facing meetings / conversations, provide content and documentation for internal and client meetings

  • Mentor junior talent

  • Navigate the intricacies of cross-functional team leadership and integrating as a member of the core team

The Baseline Essentials

  • Support and lead coordination of rotational department deliverables, including Weather Report and agency-wide timesheet validation

  • Create and maintain accurate project forecasts for resource usage and costs incurred

  • Create / own project estimates and timelines for a variety of project types

  • Define and / or support project scopes for approval

  • Contribute to client status reports, specifically in regards to budget usage and progress of scoped deliverables and services

  • Escalate challenges, roadblocks and risks to client / project budget goals as they arise, always accompanied by your recommendations for remedy.

  • Submit your individual time usage on a weekly basis

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years experience managing technical and creative projects in an ad agency, marketing department, or software development setting

  • Experience in client services and negotiating decisions that affect both the clients’ business and your employer’s business

  • Experience using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Keynote/Google Slides, Google meet, Atlassian suite required

  • Experience or familiarity with HTML, web content management platforms, and new technologies desired

  • Extraordinary, proven teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated curiosity about emerging technologies, especially AI, with a willingness to explore, experiment and thoughtfully integrate AI tools

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal and listening skills

  • Strong writing skills

  • Ability to think strategically to solve project problems

  • Ability to quickly understand individual clients’ business

  • Ability to effectively manage virtually and in-person

  • Currently based in Minneapolis / St Paul / Twin Cities metro area

Benefits

At space150, we are committed to pay transparency and equity in accordance with Minnesota law. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $115,000 annually. The salary range for this role is based on numerous factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.
