Description
Opportunity abounds for a skilled Accountant at a leading commercial real estate firm located in Minneapolis. The company, which routinely receives accolades in their industry, offers a chance for potential team members to make a lasting difference through end-to-end accounting for assigned Real Estate properties.
As a pivotal member of the team, responsibilities will include:
Prep and review of financial statements.
Generating monthly accruals and adjusting journal entries.
Conducting multiple monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
Analytical review of the General Ledger.
Tracking Capital Projects and managing book value.
Preparing budgets, reforecasts, and year-end operating expense reconciliations.
Supporting annual tax file preparation and financial audits.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, with 3+ years of professional-level accounting experience, including financial statement preparation and general ledger account reconciliation. Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, and/or JDE E1 software will be beneficial but not required. They should also possess a working knowledge of Excel, have a high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials a plus
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Account reconciliation experience
Month end closings experience desired
Command of financial statement preparation
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Must have excellent time management skills
3+ years of overall general accounting experience
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic environment
Proficient in ERP systems
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Vow to meet business deadlines
Detailed and have the ability work independently
