Senior Demand Planning Manager

ABOUT YOU:

The Senior Demand Planning Manager is responsible for developing, consolidating, and synchronizing the demand signals across all Jostens’ business divisions to create the unit forecast that aligns with our customers’ demand. This role serves as a champion for demand, working effectively with business stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to reconcile unit level forecasts against financial targets, key initiatives, productivity and margin targets. The Senior Manager leads and executes initiatives that drive improvement in overall demand planning accuracy, also leading the demand and consensus meetings within the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process.

YOU HAVE:

  • Passion. Experience identifying business opportunities, creating and presenting a recommended course of action and collaborating with stakeholders to create and execute the plan.

  • Leadership. Experience working closely with others to conceptualize, test, and implement new ideas. Proven leadership experience in driving solutions, holding others accountable, concise, and confident in communications (verbal and written). Strong critical thinking skills and proven skills in adaptability.

  • Technical skills. End to end supply chain experience, able to see issues from different perspectives to ensure processes are supporting improved business results. High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Access a plus).

  • Attention to detail. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Excellent time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks. Tolerance for ambiguity and risk with the ability to drive to decisions with less than perfect information

  • Great communication skills. Experience in presenting and influencing senior leadership. Leverages strong communication skills to lead without authority up and down multiple levels of the organization. Proven experience working effectively with all levels in the organization.

  • Experience. 10+ years of Supply Chain Operations enterprise-wide experience (Demand Planning, Supply/Inventory Planning, Supply Chain Strategy, SIOP). Experience creating and improving processes based on business strategy, technology trends and best practices in demand planning. Strong general business knowledge.

  • Education. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required; MBA preferred.

    YOU WILL:

  • Develop and manage the enterprise demand and consensus forecasts, considering factors for seasonality, promotions, expansions, new markets, overall brand strategy, product lifecycle and performance across all time horizons: tactical (0-3 months), operational (3-36 months) and strategic (3+ years) horizons.

  • Lead any enterprise demand reviews that are part of the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process; discuss current trends and risks/opportunities to set respective action plans.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across the enterprise to reconcile unit level forecasts against financial targets, key initiatives, productivity and margin targets, including supporting the Annual operating planning process and quarterly financial forecasting update meetings.

  • Create. Provide reporting to support business performance management processes; analyze and identify emerging trends, risks, outliers, and solutions to achieve service level targets (delivery constraints, pull forward opportunities, operational issues/opportunities, etc.)

  • Drive improvement of key performance indicators (KPI’s) of demand (forecast accuracy, bias, …) through measurement, tracking and reporting across various levels of granularity; develop root cause analysis and action plans to improve.

  • Manage and design best practices across demand planning processes; drive strategic and continuous improvement activities.

  • Partner with IT to manage the utilization, maintenance, and optimization of demand planning tools, including data maintenance.

  • Typical/expected % of overnight travel: 10%
