The pay range per hour is $19.62 - $35.29

As a Sr. Home Fragrance Lab Technician , you will support the Fragrance Designer and Technical Designers/Engineers in all aspects of fragrance approvals, testing and vendor communication. Here, you’ll partner with our quality and compliance teams to understand performance testing protocols and help to ensure our products meet them. You will work in a state-of-the-art fragrance laboratory to conduct a variety of burn and scent tests to ensure our products will meet/exceed guest expectations. You will assist in creating new procedures for the lab to ensure consistency and data accuracy. You will own fragrance modifications including communication and sample management, working closely with fragrance samples from vendors/fragrance houses. You will own fragrance tracking with database management. You will evaluate wax and wick quality. With hot throw evaluation, you will analyze data using statistical principles, evaluate results, form conclusions, implement improvement recommendations, explore, and implement new research methodologies and continuously improve operational efficiency. You will collect sales data to assist with analyzing top/bottom fragrances. You will assist with benchmarking initiatives and activities.
This requires a diligent approach to workload and maintaining timely communication with cross-functional partners. You will support product, brand, and guest research to ensure Target product meets or exceeds the perceived value/performance of the competitors’ product. Working collaboratively with cross-functional partners, vendors, and leadership, you will gain understanding and support our fragrance lab procedures.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Four-year degree preferred.
Sensory and/or Olfactive Evaluation experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to work in collaborative team environment and manage relationships with team and key business partners.
Strong interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience assimilating product feedback.
Ability to build strong partnerships to successfully work in a team environment
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
