Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record executing successful SD-WAN network cutovers,
and excellent written and oral communication skills to lead knowledge transfer sessions, and deliver
thorough documentation. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the clients North American network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead SD-WAN Network Cutovers: Plan, design, and execute SD-WAN network cutovers
ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
• Knowledge Transfer: Conduct thorough knowledge transfer sessions to train and guide
network engineers and other IT staff.
• Network Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain advanced network
solutions including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and security infrastructure.
• Cisco Wireless: Manage and optimize Cisco Wireless infrastructure to ensure robust and high(1)performing wireless connectivity.
• Cisco ISE: Implement and administer Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for secure network
access and enhanced endpoint visibility.
• Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and
resolve network issues ensuring minimal downtime.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including
configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and business units to support and implement
networking projects and initiatives.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure network compliance with industry standards and best
practices, and implement network security measures to protect against threats.
• Research and Development: Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to
recommend and implement improvements.
Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering with at least 3 years of
experience leading SD-WAN network cutovers.
• Certification: Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly
desirable.
• Skills:
o Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies including Cisco
Wireless, Cisco ISE, and related systems.
o Proficient in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex network
environments.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience conducting training
sessions and knowledge transfer.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
o Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field,
or equivalent work experience
