Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This role involves maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with both our accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions
• Enter data into computer systems using Sage Intacct, MS Excel and other financial software
• Compile, analyze, and report financial data to management and offer suggestions about resource utilization and assumptions underlying budget forecasts
• Assist with invoice processing, account reconciliation and management of company expenses
• Work with accounts receivable to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted
• Work with accounts payable to process vendor invoices and disbursements
• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and other irregularities
• Perform data entry associated with accounts payable and receivable
• Assist with month-end closing processes.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of Billing procedures
• Strong Data Entry skills
• Ability to handle Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Sage Intacct software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
