Summary:

The Section Manager 1, Insurance Operations - Equipment Finance leads a small team of colleagues responsible for following policy related to all aspects of insurance, including collection, retention, and reporting. This position may manage both onshore and offshore resources that provide great service and protect the Bank’s assets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attain full understanding of the various processes and the insurance requirements for each equipment finance business (e.g., vendor finance, technology finance, equipment finance).

  • Drive consistent processes, championing continuous improvement focused on risk reduction, quality and quantity.

  • Help build reporting tools for improved measurement of production and quality.

  • Analyze, problem-solve, and implement any variations to policies and procedures.

  • Provide coaching, training, development, support and leadership for colleagues; offering mentorship and motivation to achieve and maintain high performance levels.

  • Monitor and manage colleague productivity and quality, ensuring metrics are in place and regularly communicated.

  • Ensure colleagues are following established policies and procedures, continuing to find ways to improve processes.

  • Adhere to legal/regulatory and compliance requirements on an on-going basis.

  • Maintain knowledge of risk-related changes that could impact assigned work function.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years' experience working in an operations role requiring strict adherence to policies and procedures

  • Experience overseeing the workflow of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle leasing software and Microsoft office applications, including strong Excel skills

  • Experience working with offshore partners

  • Previous supervisory experience with an ability to effectively manage in-person and remote colleagues

  • Ability to prepare and maintain reports of service level metrics

  • Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task

Compensation Range:

$47,000 - $77,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
