Overview
The Senior Manager of IT Resilience plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Resilience strategy, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to boost system resilience and scalability. This is a newly created organization with a concentrated focus on maximizing application availability. The optimal candidate is experienced, highly motivated and with their leadership and technical expertise will drive the continuous improvement of our infrastructure, process and monitoring capabilities. The ideal candidate has a background in orchestrating Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
Specialized Skills and Technologies
7+ years of proven experience managing and leading an operations team, SRE team, systems team in a fast-paced Enterprise organization.
Strong understanding of SRE principles, modern infrastructure, and on-premises technology.
Demonstrated experience in driving improved system availability and reliability.
Solid understanding of monitoring and alerting tools (ex. Splunk, SolarWinds, …) and incident management processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
Proficiency in working between the Infrastructure and App/Dev teams to identify and improve systems availability metrics.
Experience developing an IT DR program; strong Knowledge in current IT DR approaches, tools and standards and of IT Disaster Recovery Data Center Operational environments.
Current understanding of disaster recovery best practices and standards (e.g., ISO 22301, DRCS, CBCP, CRISC certifications, etc.) and operational resilience efforts
Primary Responsibilities
Defines business objectives and tactical operations to achieved defined objectives
Engages technical and business teams to ensure the team direction, priority and focus enable corporate success
Delivers proactive, business-focused IT services that enable rapid business growth and smooth business operations
Manages tactical steps
Coordinates priorities between the IT department and user departments
Oversees technical team in collaboration with vendor and other support teams for problem resolution
Continues to seek out opportunities to increase internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationships
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Project Management (PMI) or Agile Certification
Experience migrating bare metal / VM hosted applications to cloud infrastructure / containerized workloads
High level scripting ability in one or more languages (e.g. Shell, PowerShell, Ansible or Perl)
Experience in food and beverage, CPG or distribution industry
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and formal education in relevant disciplines (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant degree)
7+ years related experience in technology management, customer relationship management and staff management
